Our Hygiene Drive Supporting Simply the Basics!
Why Donate?
What is Hygiene Insecurity?
Hygiene insecurity, also known as “hygiene poverty” is the inability to afford or access basic hygiene products and personal grooming items to maintain good health and cleanliness.
What is the Impact of Hygiene Insecurity?
Hygiene Insecurity not only can affect someone’s physical health but also mental. It has detrimental effects on a person's social and emotional well-being as well. For example, someone experiencing this may feel a sense of shame, which can lead to reduced self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. It can also make normal life pretty difficult like:
applying for a job worried you have body odor
missing work because you don’t have access to period products
being bullied at school for coming in with matted hair
